Emergency NotificationsRichmond BC Alert
In May of 2021, our notification system will be changing. Richmond BC Alert will now be powered by Everbridge and will continue to inform the community of imminent emergencies or disasters that may impact Richmond, such as natural disasters, fires, hazardous material spills, and other natural disaster notifications.
Note: Even though you are currently subscribed to Richmond BC Alert, you must resubscribe to continue receiving notifications through Richmond BC Alert when the system changes. Please check back to re-subscribe when the new system launches in May or click the button below to be notified.
How to Register
Richmond residents and businesses may register up to six phone numbers, two email addresses, one SMS text and one fax number for each local address.
Sign up for the current system (active until mid-May 2021).
How It Works
When an emergency occurs, voice or text messages will be sent to all registered contacts in the impacted area. Evacuation notices, emergency instructions, direction to emergency reception centres or shelters, and information on family reunification will be among the messages that could be sent out during an emergency situation.
