Recognizing that safety is a primary concern in the minds of Richmond citizensy, the City has identified the delivery of Public Safety Services as a top priority.
Prevention, Preparedness and Response are the key components of service delivery. These components work on the underlying principle that safety is everyone’s responsibility.
The City’s primary public safety providers are Police, Fire-Rescue, Emergency Preparedness and Community Bylaws. These providers work in partnership with other City departments and local and provincial agencies to identify needs and provide services in Richmond.
