Preschool and Out of School Care

Preschool at Cambie Community Centre is designed to develop the whole child intellectually, socially, physically, emotionally and cognitively. A positive and encouraging learning environment is provided where children of various cultures and backgrounds share and learn about each other.
Next year's preschool term is September 21, 2020 to June 18, 2021 with winter and spring break vacation.
Fees are due at the time of registration and may be paid by cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, American Express or cheque. A non-refundable $40 registration fee will be applied when registering. Monthly post-dated payments for the remainder of the school year must be given at time of registration.
For all licensed preschools, children must turn the required age by December 31, 2020; or be at least 30 months of age at time of registration. (Please note, children ages 30-36 months may be able to register but parents will need to meet with the Preschool Coordinator prior to registering).

Parent Information Package 2020-2021
Schedules (2020-2021 School Year)
Preschool Kinderfun - Licensed
Children participate in activities that promote socialization through language, songs and art. Parent participation is required.

Preschool Little Explorers - Licensed
Children are introduced to concepts and social skills through various activities set up in the classroom and outdoors. The focus of Little Explorer is on sensory learning with a large outdoor component. Some Parent participation is required.
For children going to Kindergarten in September 2020, this preschool extension helps prepare children for a longer school day. Children bring lunches and pre-Kindergarten work is done after lunch. This program is for Kinderfun and Little Explorers students only.

Out of School Care
Cambie offers quality licensed school care to children Kindergarten to Grade 7. The Out of School Care program is staffed by energetic, creative instructors who support children in a fun and nurturing environment.
All programs adhere to government regulations and work closely with Richmond Health Services.
Cambie Out of School Care provides morning and after school care for students from McNeely and after school care for Talmey and Tomsett elementary schools.
We operate from September through June, Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 9:00am (Before Care) and school dismissal to 6:00pm (After Care) including Pro-D Days, Winter and Spring Break. Families can choose to register for Before and After Care or just After Care. No child care provided on statutory holidays.
We also offer Summer Daycamps in July and August at an additional cost.
The program offers transportation from Talmey and Tomsett Schools. Children from
McNeely are walked to and from school. An afternoon snack is also provided.

Before and After Care: $447.60 per month
After Care Only: $409.00 per month
