Registration is now open for a variety of virtual, outdoor, and indoor recreation programs, and registered fitness, swimming, and skating visits. Starting Monday, October 19, many of the City of Richmond’s popular indoor fitness and recreation programs are moving indoors. These programs will operate with reduced capacity and activities may be increased or decreased based on demand and public safety. All facilities and programs will meet strict health and safety guidelines as set out by local and provincial health authorities, WorkSafeBC, as well as relevant industry associations. Health and safety protocols are in place, including limited class sizes and facility occupancy to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19 and require advanced registration for each class or activity. Please read the health and safety protocols provided below before registering.Two ways to register:

Minoru Centre for Active Living - Aquatic Centre
The City will open its new state-of-the-art indoor aquatic centre at Minoru Centre for Active Living on Monday, September 21.
Pre-registration for 75-minute swim sessions will begin on Monday, September 14 at 10:00am with the following options:
- Online using your MyRichmond account.
- By calling the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300
- Registration for the following week’s session will be available as of 10:00am on the Monday before.
- Recreation Access Card holders and Recreation Fee Subsidy users are asked to call the Registration Call Centre to book a swim session.
- Limited drop-in spaces will also be available each session on a first come first serve basis.
Frequently Asked Questions - Minoru Centre for Active Living Aquatic Centre
Fitness Centres at Minoru Centre for Active Living, South Arm Community Centre and Thompson Community Centre have re-opened as of August 17 for pre-registered fitness sessions. These facilities will look a little different with safety measures and physical distancing in place, but we are excited to welcome the community back.
- Pre-registration is required – no drop-ins are permitted. Please register in advance online or through the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
- Each fitness centre session is 75 minutes long.
- Registration for each week of exercise sessions starts at 10:00am on the Monday one week before.
- Only customers with pre-booked registrations will be permitted to enter the facility. "Drop Ins" are not permitted.
- Regular admission prices will apply and payment is required at the time of booking.
- Fitness passes and memberships will remain on hold at this time. All fitness passes and memberships will be extended to cover the amount of time facilities are closed. When full services resume at the facilities, the additional time will be added to your pass or membership. This includes monthly and annual passes for fitness centres, Richmond aquatic facilities and other facility-specific passes.
Information for youth participants (13-18 years):
Youth 13-15 years old are required to complete a Youth Fitness Centre Orientation prior to attending. Youth orientations can be booked by calling the Fitness Coordinator at their preferred location and only needs to be completed once for eligibility to exercise at all centres. To register for an exercise session, please call the Registration Call Centre to verify this requirement has been met.
Youth 13-18 years old are required to submit a completed Informed Consent and Permission Form for Youth Fitness Centre Access prior to attending the Fitness Centre.

Live Stream Fitness Videos
Live stream fitness videos are now available through the Zoom app! Join some of your favourite Fitness Instructors and Coordinators from the comfort of your own home. Limited equipment required. Upon registration, a Zoom class link will be emailed along with a PAR-Q form 1-2 hours prior to the start of the event.

Where do I login to the new system?

How can I find my password?
If you have forgotten your password or would like to reset your password, select the blue Forgot Password? link on the Login Page.
Will my old account information be transferred over to the new system?
If you have registered for a program or purchased a membership at any Parks, Recreation and Cultural facility in the past two years, your customer account was transferred to the new system.
Can I create my own account online?
You can create your own account online as long as you do not already have an existing account.
What if I don't want to provide an e-mail address?
An e-mail address is only required to register for courses online. For over the phone and in-person registration, an e-mail address is not required.
Why did the program registration system change?
The City’s previous program registration system was being retired by the vendor, so we have moved to a new system. Our new registration system is modern, user-friendly and adaptive.
Why was the new system chosen?
The new system was chosen as it is faster, more powerful, highly personalized and tightly integrated with consumer technology, including mobile phones.
I live outside of Richmond, am I able to register online?
Yes, if you live outside of Richmond but plan on registering for programs in Richmond, we encourage all users to activate their accounts and register for programs online.
What are some of the new system's features?
- Simple log in using your email address and password

- Manage your family's schedule with a personalized calendar view of registrations
- Add registered programs to your iOS, Google and Outlook calendars

How will customers’ personal information be secured in the new registration system?
The new program registration system meets the industry standard for encryption and security measures in addition to the City of Richmond’s Protection of Privacy standards around the collection, storage, use and disclosure of personal information. At the same time, we strongly recommend that you choose a strong password and remain diligent about protecting your personal information. What internet browser is best when using the new system?
We recommend using Google Chrome when using the new Parks, Recreation and Culture program registration system.
Do I still need my Client ID and PIN number?
Client ID and PIN numbers are no longer required to log into the new system, you will only need to use your e-mail address and password to log in.
I'm logged in but I can't see my family members?
When you are logged in, select MY INFO in the top left corner. If you are unable to see your family members it is because:
a) Only the primary contact can view, access and register family members on account for online registration. To confirm who the primary contact is on your account, contact the Registration Call Centre (Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm) or any recreation facility.
b) If you have just created your account, you may not have any family members added yet. Once logged in select MY INFO and add family members.
I don't have a birth date on my account or a birth date is wrong, can I still register online?
Birth dates are required for registration in age-validated programs online. Once a birth date has been entered it can only be updated through the Registration Call Centre or a recreation facility. If you notice a birth date is incorrect on your profile, contact the Registration Call Centre (Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm) to update your birth date information.
What can I do if I am denied access to my account?
If you experiencing any issues logging into your account, contact the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300 (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm).

How do I search by Course ID?
To search by Course ID, select the Activities tab at the top. Under Keyword, you can Search/Type Course ID here and then press enter.
How do I search by keyword?
To search by keyword, select the Activities tab at the top. Under Keyword, enter the keyword in the search field Search/Type Course ID here. Sections that contain relevant programs will appear as links in the right side display.
How can I see credit on my account?
If you have any questions about a credit on your account, call the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300 (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm).
What is MyRichmond?
MyRichmond is the City of Richmond’s online portal granting customers access to a variety of services with a single login, using an email and password. Learn more about additional services here: richmond.ca/myrichmond.
Why do I need a MyRichmond account?
MyRichmond offers a variety of services using a single sign-on portal. One of these services is the new program registration system.
What if I already have a MyRichmond account?
If you already have a MyRichmond account, your information from the previous program registration system was merged with your existing account.
Recreation Fee Subsidy Program FAQs
How is my subsidy applied to my program registration?
If you have subsidy available on your account you will be able to apply it during checkout. If you choose to use your subsidy allocation, the system will apply the maximum amount to your registration and you may complete the payment of the remaining balance using your credit card online. If you have any questions regarding your RFSP and how it is applied during online registration, contact the RFSP office at 604-247-4909 (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm).
How can I view the balance of my subsidy?
To view the balance of your subsidy, log into your program registration account and on the top menu select the tab for MY INFO. Once on the MY INFO tab, select the individual and scroll down to view Subsidy Allocations.
Refunds, Withdrawals and Transfer Guidelines
We encourage customers to contact the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm to receive a refund or to withdraw or transfer from a class or program.
Note: Account credits are not viewable on your MyRichmond account. Refunds, withdrawls and transfers cannot be processed online. In order to receive or check the status of your refunds, including your account credit amount, please contact the Registration Call Centre at 604-276-4300.

Arena and Aquatic Schedules and Sport Field and City Rental Information
Arena and Aquatic schedules are posted on the individual facility's page. For Sport Field and City Rentals Information, please call the City Events and Rentals office at 604-233-3304, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm.
If enough participants are not registered in certain classes, the class will be cancelled or postponed. Don't wait until the last minute - register today!
