Canada Day at Home
Canada Day at Home, presented by the Steveston Salmon Festival, returns on Thursday, July 1 to provide Richmond residents with interactive online opportunities to mark the occasion in ways that reflect their own values and beliefs.
The event is organized in partnership with the Steveston Salmon Festival, an annual event rooted in history and heritage that provides an opportunity for thousands to come together in a display of community spirit.
This year’s Canada Day at Home line-up includes opportunities for the whole family to participate. The July 1 event will kick off with a Digital Parade at 10am, which will be streamable from on our Canada Day ay Home YouTube channel and the Steveston Salmon Festival website.
Additional content will be available throughout the day, including a Japanese Cultural Show, a special presentation about the Gulf of Georgia Cannery and a virtual mainstage featuring performances by local artists.
The Digital Parade is accepting submissions from local businesses and organizations through Friday, June 18. Richmond residents can also participate in a Digital Home Parade and a virtual Horticulture Show on Instagram. For details, visit the Steveston Salmon Festival website.
