Performing Arts
Dance and creative movement courses are a great way to stay physically fit and improve coordination, balance and fluidity in movement.
The Richmond Arts Centre is pleased to announce a resumption of some programs as of November 12, 2020. The number and frequency of programs are based on the City’s Restoring Richmond Plan and follow the direction of the Provincial Health Authority.

Seasonal Courses
A range of children and adult programs are offered from beginner to intermediate levels for those who want to refresh skills in dance and creative movement without committing to a full year program.
The opportunity to explore different types of dance and creative movement is also offered for children ages 6 months and up.
School Year Program
Ballet, jazz, musical theatre and tap is offered for students ages 3 and up running from September to June. Not only is dance one of the most universal languages of artistic expression, it also helps with physical fitness and mental sharpness. Course information is available in the spring.
Ballet Program
The Ballet School Year Program is based on a hybrid of internationally recognized teaching systems. Progression through the program is achieved through mastery of movements and steps in the Richmond Arts Centre syllabus.
